'clan scoring'

Every member of a clan makes their own contribution to the clan's overall
score. On death that contribution is reduced by 5%. When you gain experience
your contribution to the clan is increased. This increase is the amount
of experience you gain personally, divided by the number of members in your
clan or 10 (whichever is the greater). As a result the clan score represents
the average performance of members of your clan (assuming you have 10 or more
members).

If somebody leaves your clan for any reason their contribution is taken away
from the overall clan score. Members who are absent for over 90 days will
have their contribution reduced to zero. Inactive members who have not
recently gained or lost experience will also see their contribution to the
clan score reduced.
